My approach
I’m all about the fun. I like my pictures to be bright, colourful and full of laughs. I have a sixth sense on at weddings and whenever I hear laughter I’m drawn to it, like a moth to a flame! As a result my images are always happy and warm.
I’m relaxed and I like the whole photography business to be as easy as possible for you guys. I’ll be there when you need me and I’ll be in the background taking sneaky photos when you don’t.
When we go off and take photos with just the 3 of us it will be super chilled and the whole thing is far more about capturing a genuine connection between you guys. I’m all about natural photos, so I’ll be there to guide you through having your pictures taken but I won’t put you in awkward poses and the picture will never ever be cheesy!
What it is like to work with me
My aim is to make the whole process fun and stress free. I’d much rather you guys felt like I was an extra friend there on the day who happened to be carrying a couple of cameras rather than a scary photographer bossing you both around all day.
Before the wedding
Once you lock your date in with me I’ll be available at any point for any questions you might have about your day so feel free to call, email or Skype whenever you want.
Engagement shoot
Engagement shoots are my favourite way to get to know a couple. You get to learn how I work and we get to make some bad ass pictures together! It’s a great way to get more comfortable with being in front of the camera and they’re pretty fun too.
Pre-wedding consultation
I will then normally meet in person with a couple around 2-3 weeks before the day, this can be over a coffee (or beer!) somewhere in London and it will be a informal chat about your day and your chance to tell me all about your plans and timings. I do not need to visit your venue with you as I work best when I can just go with the flow of a day.
On the wedding day
On the day I generally work on my own (unless you want a 2nd photographer which you can ask for). I tend to arrive around 1-2 hours before the ceremony to take pictures of everyone getting ready. If the bride and groom are getting ready in the same location it’s great to hop between them both but otherwise I tend to stick with the bride (but if you’d rather me go with the groom that’s totally cool too! I’m all about breaking traditions).
I’ll be in the background for most of the day snapping away and the only time you’ll notice me is after the ceremony when I’ll do any group shots you’re after. After that the 3 of us will sneak away to do some relaxed portraits which normally take around 30 mins and then you’re back! After that I’ll revert to my photography ninja mode and will be right up until the end of the day.
After the wedding
You pictures will take up to 8 weeks to be delivered. They will be edited to the style that you see throughout my portfolio.
You will first receive them digitally in your online gallery. You can then send the link and password over to friends and family. If they’d like to buy any prints or digital files they can do it there. You then will receive your USB in the post in a swanky box with all you Instax pictures from the day.
I love to see how my pictures are used so if you ever get any albums made, photos for the wall or even just putting your Instax photos on the fridge I’d love for you to send me a photo so I can see!
